Jellal also learned how to cast the complex forbidden spell "Abyss Break", indicating an expert knowledge in the elements of fire, water, earth and air.
Weaknesses: When using "Thought Projection", Jellal's power is split between the two halves generated, thus weakening the original body greatly and likely preventing him from tapping into his signature "Heavenly Body Magic".
Notable Equipment: None shown in combat.Powers and Abilities: Super-strength, super-speed, super-durability, super-senses, magic-manipulation, elemental-manipulation (specificially, fire, water*, air*, earth* and darkness), gravity-manipulation (through "Altaris"), speed-augmentation (through "Meteor"), can generate magical projections of himself across large distances, energy-projection, immobilization, can deploy self-destruction seals, telekinesis* - indicating that the aforementioned element has not been displayed as an individual spell or effect.
Techniques:Tentai Mahō (Heavenly Body Magic): A Caster-type magic which revolves around the concepts of astronomical objects such as meteors, stars and black holes. The mage channels celestial energy into their body, developing a faint glowing aura around their form.

  • Ryūsei (Meteor): Jellal's body is surrounded by celestial magic, allowing him to move through the air at incredible speeds. He can manipulate the exact velocity of "Meteor", enabling him to dupe opponents through varying levels of speed. Also augments his
     mêlée capabilities.

  • Shichiseiken [Grand Chariot] (Seven Star Sword): Jellal summons seven pillars of light in the shape of the Big Dipper constellation, before descending them to strike the target all at once.

  • Heavenly Beams: Jellal fires a number of energy beams at the opponent; the beams have homing properties, making evasion difficult.

  • Heavenly Blast: Jellal closes his fist, except for two fingers and swipes them backwards. A large sphere of celestial energy appears and rushes towards the target.

  • Heavenly Palm: Jellal generates a small sphere of celestial energy against his outstretched palm, which then pulses back the opponent like an invisible wall.

  • Heavenly Breakdown: Jellal swipes his hand and collapses the ground in a local vicinity, creating 
    sizable holes in the process and dragging down anyone standing on the targeted floor.

  • Ankoku no Rakuen [Altaris] (Dark Paradise): Jellal crosses his arms above his head to begin casting the spell. As he prepares to fire the spell, all nearby shadows are drawn towards him. Jellal then unleashes a black orb with small white lights, similar to the night sky. The orb appears to be incredibly dense, and may hold a tremendous amount of gravity to crush its opponents. Its power is said to be comparable to the power of an actual meteor [
    though this is considered to be a fallible statement].

Shinentai (Thought Projection): An advanced Caster-type magical spell, commonly deployed by high-tier mages. Jellal is capable of creating a mental "projection" of himself out of magic and transmitting it across large distances, in order to communicate with potential adversaries without risk of bodily harm or even as a tool of subfertuge and infiltration.Jellal's version of the spell is slightly more unique and more advanced than other practicioners': his "projection" was capable of interacting with the tangible environment and could be substained for long durations of time (as long as potentially several years) without deactivation, albeit at the cost of Jellal having his magical reserves divided between himself and the "projection". The "projection" also experiences emotions, personalities and sensations independently of the original body (though ultimately they appear to share the same intellectual/emotional mindset).-

 Yami Mahō (Darkness Magic): A Caster-typic magic which enables the user to manipulate the element of darkness for combat purposes. Jellal primarily uses "Darkness Magic" to restrain or mainpulate the motions of the opponent, rather than direct assault.

  • Dark Force: Jellal steals control of a target's body, and by moving his hand in the direction he wants it to move, he blows the target away as if he were giving them a smack from a short distance. The force generated by the blunt force is sufficient to instantly kill a standard human (when Jellal was merely a young adolescent).

  • Dark Grasp: Jellal moves his hands towards the opponent from a distance, forming a pair of strong, dark-coloured arms to appear from a nearby surface and grab the opponent, immobilizing or choking them according to the movements performed by the user (who control the spell with a single hand).

  • Dark Snare: Jellal creates a sphere of darkness in his hand, in the form of ghosts that revolve around the center. The user then shoots it at the target, releasing several ghosts that wrap around the target, restraining their movement.

- Hi Mahō (Fire Magic): A Caster-typic magic which enables the user to manipulate the element of fire for combat purposes. Not only does Jellal have basic manipulation of fire, but he can even generate the highly potent "Flame of Rebuke", indicating his expert status with this particular element.

  • Toga no Honoo (Flame of Rebuke): Jellal generates a golden flame within his hand, which he can then hand over to an ally. This fire is noted to be of extremely high quality; consuming it enabled Natsu Dragneel to activate "Dragon Force" mode and compare its magical power to consuming residue from "Etherion". It is currently unknown if Jellal can directly use "Flame of Rebuke" in offensive combat.

Kōsoku no Hebi (Bind Snake): A spell that appears in the form of a snake tattoo. The snake winds its way around the target's body, tightening and restricting movement.- Shin'en Kyūkei (Abyss Break): An uncategorized, intricate and highly dangerous spell that normally requires multiple magical sources from several individuals to activate, but which Jellal is capable of generating single-handedly through his incredible power. It combines the four primary elements of magic (fire, water, air and earth) and channels them into a large magic seal, before unleashing a tremendous blast of dark energy that causes immense environmental damage (a previous attempt at casting "Abyss Break" by the "Phantom Lord" guild would have had wiped out half of "Magnolia Town").- 

Jiritsu Hōkai Mahōjin (Self-Destruction Spell): A highly advanced and complex magical seal, designed to annihilate any physical object or organism that has the seal applied to it. While the activation process is entirely manual and features no countdown timer, the seal cannot be removed without being given the cancellation code (which only the seal user knows): however, as Brain demonstrated, a sufficiently skilled expert with magical seals can simply dispel the entire intricate spell without knowledge of the code. The "Self-Destruction Seal" can also be applied onto the user themselves to commit suicide. The seal is powerful enough to even destroy "Nirvana" (albeit only in its first stage; presumably the Lacrima orbs protecting the second stage negates the threat of the seal)
.Telekinesis: A common Caster-type magic employed at various degrees by many mages in the Fairy Tail-verse. The alter-persona "Siegrain" demonstrated a very basic level of telekinesis through levitating a book from a nearby shelf to his person.
